I am asking my friends and acquaintances donation to finish the construction of GERD (an Ethiopian Dam being constructed on the Abbay river in Northwest Ethiopia). GERD is funded by Ethiopian peoples without any help from international financial institutions. GERD is a developmental project, when completed will provide electricity connection to millions of Ethiopians. Currently 60% of the Ethiopian population is without electricity, GERD will change that and increase access to electricity to close to 90% the population. GERD also has great benefits to downstream countries to Sudan and Egypt, it prevents flooding and provides water bank to mitigate drought due to climate change. It also increases access to electricity to the East African counties and beyond through east African gid connections.
